Privacy Policy for Until X for Windows

Effective Date: April 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Until X for Windows ("Until X" or the "App") handles information when you use the Windows version of the App. Until X is provided by Mariia Markina ("I", "me", or "my").

1. Information the App Handles

A. Information you create in the App

When you use Until X, the App may store information that you choose to create or manage, including:

- event titles
- event dates and times
- pinned or featured event settings
- sorting and display preferences
- source labels for imported events
- technical identifiers used to prevent duplicate imported events

B. Google Calendar information you choose to import

Until X offers an optional Google Calendar connection. If you choose to connect your Google account, the App requests read-only access to Google Calendar data.

With your permission, the App may access:

- your calendar list
- calendar names and colors
- upcoming event details needed for preview and import, such as event title, event date or date-time, calendar name, and event identifier

This access is used only so you can preview upcoming calendar events and import selected events into your countdown board.

Until X does not create, edit, move, or delete events in your Google Calendar.

C. Technical local app data

The App stores app state locally on your device or in your browser storage so it can save your countdowns, preferences, and imported events, and continue working as an installable PWA.

2. How Information Is Used

Information handled by Until X is used only to operate the App, including to:

- create and display countdown events
- save your app preferences locally
- let you optionally connect Google Calendar
- preview upcoming Google Calendar events
- import selected calendar events into the App
- prevent duplicate imported events
- support local export and import of your app data

3. Where Information Is Stored

Until X is designed to work primarily locally on your device.

- Countdown data and imported event copies are stored in local browser or PWA storage on your device.
- Exported JSON files are stored only where you choose to save them.
- Google Calendar access tokens used by the App are used for the active session and are not stored by Until X in persistent local app storage.

Until X does not require you to create an account.

4. Google Calendar and Google APIs

Google Calendar access is optional. If you do not connect Google Calendar, you can still use Until X manually.

If Google Calendar support is enabled in the App, Google Identity Services may be loaded in your browser so sign-in can be offered. Calendar data is not accessed unless you choose to connect your Google account and grant permission.

Imported Google Calendar events become local copies inside Until X. They are not continuously synced, and later changes in Google Calendar are not automatically reflected in Until X unless you choose to reconnect and import again.

Use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

I do not sell personal information.

The App itself does not use third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or developer-operated analytics.

The App itself does not upload your countdown event data or imported event copies to developer-controlled servers.

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, the App communicates with Google services to authenticate your account and retrieve the calendar information you request. Google’s handling of that data is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policies.

Information may be disclosed only if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or when necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

6. Your Choices and Controls

You may:

- use the App without connecting Google Calendar
- disconnect Google Calendar at any time
- revoke Google Calendar access through your Google account permissions
- edit or delete events inside Until X
- remove locally stored app data by clearing browser or site storage or uninstalling the PWA
- export your data and keep your own copy

7. Data Retention

Because Until X stores data locally, information remains on your device until you delete it, clear browser or site storage, uninstall the App, or remove exported files that you chose to save.

8. Children’s Privacy

Until X is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-controlled servers.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If material changes are made, the Effective Date at the top of this page will be updated.
