# Until X Privacy Policy

Until X is designed to keep your countdown data on your Mac. The app stores your events, widget settings, goal-tracking state, and optional background images locally so it can power the Desktop boards and widget. It does not require an account and does not use advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs.

 

## Information You Create in the App

 

Until X stores the information needed to show your countdowns and control board. That information stays in local app storage on your device.

 

- Events you create, including titles, dates, pin status, sorting preferences, widget selection, and related timestamps.

- Goal-tracking settings and progress used by the Until X Control board.

- Optional Desktop background settings and any background images you choose to import.

 

## Calendar Access

 

Until X requests access to Calendar only when you choose to import events from Calendar.

 

If you grant access, the app reads upcoming calendar events so you can select which ones to copy into Until X. Imported items are then stored locally inside the app so they can be shown in the app, Desktop board, and widget.

 

- The app may store the imported event title, date, calendar name, and calendar event identifier.

- Until X does not edit, move, or delete events in your Calendar database.

 

## Files and Images

 

If you choose a custom background image, Until X reads only the file you explicitly select through the system file picker and saves a local copy for app use.

 

- The app does not scan unrelated files on your Mac.

- You can remove saved background images from inside the app at any time.

 

## Data Sharing, Tracking, and Network Use

 

Until X does not require a user account.

 

The app does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, fingerprinting, or cross-app tracking.

 

The app itself does not upload your event data, imported calendar details, or background images to developer-controlled servers.

 

- Your app data is shared locally between the main app and its widget extension through Apple's app group container so the widget can display the same content.

- Until X does not sell personal information.

 

## Your Choices

 

You remain in control of the information stored by Until X.

 

- You can edit or delete countdown events in the app.

- You can revoke Calendar permission in macOS Privacy & Security settings.

- If you want to remove local app content before uninstalling, delete your events and saved background images from the app first.

 

## Policy Updates and Contact

 

If Until X changes the way it handles data, this policy will be updated and the date at the top of this policy will change.
